Volunteer at the Sound of Music Festival
the backbone of our festival: volunteers
We Need Your Passion
We rely on the passion, expertise and energy of volunteers to make the Sound of Music a success each year. Join us in our quest to bring back live music & provide the very best experience for all festival goers.
Thanks for lending a hand.
Let’s get started.
If you are interested in joining our on-going planning effort as a member of one of our volunteer teams (see descriptions below), please start by completing the Volunteer Questionnaire and our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch. If you are looking to volunteer during the 4 days of the festival, please sign up through our volunteer portal, Better Impact.
*Some volunteer positions have prerequisites, including a valid drivers license, Smart Serve certificate, vulnerable screening check and age of majority. Our Team Chairs can help navigate through any requirements with you.*

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
The Sound of Music Festival is committed to gender equity and social inclusion in our workplace. All volunteer applicants will receive consideration without regard to sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, colour, religion, nationality, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected by law. We welcome applications from all applicants, particularly Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, visible minorities, and others who may contribute to diversification and share our values. Requests for accommodation can be made at any stage of the recruitment process providing the applicant has met the minimum requirements for the available volunteer position. Applicants need to make their requirements known when contacted.
We ask all volunteers to review the Accessible Customer Service Etiquette handbook & sign off upon successful completion. Thank you for making the festival accessible for everyone to enjoy.
